Foreign buyers must take note that no legislation exist
that
prohibit non SA citizens from owning or disposing of property.
If you invest in South Africa and employ local personnel
you may qualify for permanent residence.
LAND
CLAIMS There
is a restitution process whereby people that lost property
under Apartheid laws are compensated by either restoring
their original property to them, or by given alternative
land, or by financially compensating them. The period for
lodging claims has long passed, and no new claims are recognised.
Claims lodged are being dealt with by a judicial process,
and land owners compensated. We enquire directly from the
Regional Land Claims Commissioner as to the status of land
claims on a particular property and can advise you in this
regard.
